Leadership:

Abp. JONES

The Most Revd. T. Creighton Jones is Archbishop Emeritus of the Orthodox Anglican Church. He received his BS degree in Management Science from the University of Alabama. In 2001, he entered St. Andrew’s Theological College and Seminary where he earned his Master of Theology degree. He was ordained to the diaconate in 2002, and to the priesthood in 2003. In 2003 he planted Good Shepherd Anglican Church in Myrtle Beach, SC. In 2012 he was consecrated and enthroned as Presiding Bishop. From 2012 through 2015 he served as the fifth Presiding Bishop of the Orthodox Anglican Church, and the Metropolitan Archbishop of the Orthodox Anglican Communion. He and his wife Patricia live on a small farm in Newberry County, SC where he enjoys gardening and bee-keeping.

Fr. BARBER

Fr. Brian Barber is a longtime resident of Western North Carolina. He moved to Laurens, SC with his wife Beth and their children Emma and Luke in 2023. He came to St. Mary’s from the St. Jude’s OAC mission in Hendersonville NC. He had previously served for several years in other Anglican jurisdictions. He has a BA in History and an MA in Sociology from SUNY. Currently he is a special education teacher and autism specialist in the Laurens County, SC school district.

Deacon GOSNELL

Travis Gosnell serves as Deacon of St. Mary’s Chapel. He grew up in the Ekom community near Laurens, SC and came to faith in Christ in 1999. He graduated from Thornwell High School in Clinton, SC, and earned a B.A. in Christian Studies from North Greenville University in 2004. In 2007, he received an M.Div. from Erskine Theological Seminary, and is currently studying at St. Andrews Theological Seminary. Deacon Gosnell has ministered in local churches for most of his adult life, serving as a Youth Pastor and an Associate Pastor. He is currently employed as a senior maintenance technician at a local health and nutrition company and assists in the stewardship of his family’s tree farm and vineyard. In April of 2024, he was ordained to Holy Orders by the Most Rev. Archbishop Thomas E. Gordon. He is married to his high school sweetheart, Meredith, and together they have five children.
